Armchair QB: NFL Monday Morning Wrap-up
As of this morning, the Tennessee Titans are undefeated and have a commanding first place lead in the AFC South. Of course, only one game has been played. The return of some familiar faces – namely DE Jevon Kearse, Offensive Coordinator Mike Heimerdinger, and WR Justin McCareins – has sparked some excitement that the Titans might win the division and make a run at the conference title. Some questions were answered yesterday, such as how the defense would perform. The answer was a resounding “Totally badass!” Other questions were not answered, such as “Why do we still not have any receivers?” and “Why didn’t we pick Jay Cutler instead of Vince Young?” At least we can ponder these concerns while celebrating a win. We can do that, can’t we?
Tennessee Titans 17, Jacksonville Jaguars 10
Offense: Chris Johnson’s awesome, receivers suck royally. C
Defense: Much like Tennessee’s humidity: totally suffocating. A+
Special Teams: Kickers, punters shouldn’t have to tackle. B
Coaching: Great, physical game plan. Help offense! B+
Overall: Good win, in spite of Vince. B-
Looking ahead to next week at Cincinnati: Bengals are horrible. Don’t get embarrassed!
Highlights from around the league:
New England Patriots 17, Kansas City Chiefs 10: Brady out indefinitely, Fantasy Football cancelled.
Chicago Bears 29, Indianapolis Colts 13: Bears maul Indianapolis, Colts look ancient.
Dallas Cowboys 28, Cleveland Browns 10: ‘Tic Tac’ celebrates with strippers, blow.
NY Jets 20, Miami Dolphins 14: Farve wows, Packers jump off bridge.

I don’t think I could give Special Teams a B. I think those bozos are more in need of a D+. What a mess.
Something MUST be done about Vince Young. The guy needs some mental help. How embarrassing is it to have our quarterback throw 2 interceptions, then tell the coaches he wants to quit playing when we are WINNING!!!! ::slams head on desk::
Duly noted. I’ll met you in the middle with a C-. At least Bironas didn’t miss any field goals/extra points.
